experimental brainFKK sounds - generated with AI?! what's possible in this sector? how far can we push the madness?
that AI can generate music similar to "modern talking" is not surprising by now, but what happens when we ask a text-to-music AI to generate massive, nasty bad ass underground noises? we tried it out: complex noise / soundtrack / experimental / sound design: and underground badass distorted techno: even though MUSICGEN, the AI we used, is currently only able to generate 12 second mono loops in a time-consuming way (and with a lot of renderings for the trash bin - 1 out of 5 renderings is usable), still the first results are already impressive. i am looking forward to the next steps in the development of AI software in the field of music / sound design / film / graphic design.... and do i feel threatened by AI as an electronic multimedia artist? no. rather, the fact that the ukulele is again one of the most sold instruments this year - worldwide - makes me worry. xox dr w
